Pollution-free Odour Solution

Eliminate pet odours instead of masking them.

General FAQs

These particular tasks demanded extra effort and manual labour to effectively treat and eliminate the urine odour:

PROBLEM
REMEDY

There is a significant amount of urine or feces being generated, often due to multiple dogs, which is commonly observed in doggy daycare centers. As a result, a substantial quantity of your product is consistently being utilized..

We provide our products in larger quantities with discounted prices, but it is essential to follow a few crucial steps during the cleaning process. When applying TurfGlo, make sure to regularly saturate the area with water and utilize a pressure hose to dislodge any potential accumulation of hair and sediment.

The application of the product took place in hot weather conditions, and its effectiveness appears to be diminished..

To optimize the effectiveness of our product, it is advised to apply it during the evening or early morning when the temperatures are cooler. This allows our technology to work to its full potential. Avoid applying the product in direct sunlight or without first cooling down the turf with water.

The artificial turf was installed directly on bare soil without a proper sub-base, which goes against the manufacturer’s specifications. In such installations where the turf does not drain adequately, urine tends to saturate into the compacted soil. Consequently, our cleaner may not be able to effectively penetrate the soil for proper treatment.

To address this issue, it is necessary to remove the turf and approximately 3 inches of the underlying soil. Replace it with a sub-base and ensure proper compaction. If you decide to remove the turf to rectify the situation, consider adding additional drainage systems. For a more proactive approach to odor prevention and removal, you may also consider applying TurFill on top of the sub-base.

Sand serves as an infill material, but it tends to absorb an excessive amount of urine and quickly becomes compacted.

To resolve this issue, it is recommended to remove all the sand using a shop vacuum and replace it with TurFill or an antimicrobial coated silica sand as the infill. Sand is not well-suited for pet applications because it absorbs and retains excessive moisture, and the accumulation of dog hair obstructs proper drainage, leading to persistent odors.

The turf has not undergone the process of de-compaction or aeration.

To effectively de-compact the infill and eliminate contaminants from the turf backing, it is suggested to utilize a pressure washer. The recommended method involves employing a pressure washer equipped with a surface sweeper attachment. Additionally, the use of a turf brush or our TurfComb can assist in the decompaction process.

DrainCore and a weed sheet were implemented to enhance the drainage system.

Our experiences with customers who have installed a drain core and weed sheet have not been overwhelmingly positive. Unless a sufficient amount of water is consistently used to facilitate the flow of urine into the drainage system, it is likely to accumulate on the plastic barrier, thereby exacerbating the problem. Additionally, there may not be an adequate number of drains installed to effectively flush the system.
